What is West Wales Chamber of Commerce and what does it do?

The Chamber is predominantly a networking organisation, providing members with comprehensive opportunities to increase business contacts. Events range from the keynote speakers, social events through to training seminars.

Equally important is the Chamber’s role to ensure that the voice of the Private Sector is heard loud and clear, representatives of the Chamber sit on committees and partnerships across the region, therefore wherever key decisions are made, the Chamber strives to make sure that concerns and priorities affecting its members’ interests are taken into account. The Chamber also provides its members with a package of benefits designed to save businesses time and money, in addition to the countless opportunities to, cost effectively, raise the profile of their company and services.

Who funds the Chamber of Commerce?

Chambers of Commerce are independent business organisations operated on a “not for profit” basis, owned and run by their members. The Chamber is administered by an elected Board of Directors and supported by a Council elected from within the membership.

Who is allowed to join the Chamber?

Anyone with a business, from the sole traders to multinational corporations. The Chamber welcomes all sizes and types of business to its membership and has a package of benefits designed to help businesses whatever their size or sector. Membership fees are based upon employee numbers and start at £197.40 inclusive of VAT, which in light of the multiplicity of benefits and opportunities to generate further business for your company represents extremely good value.

New business start-ups are also entitled to a discounted introductory 15 month membership offer of just £117.00 plus VAT, due to a membership recruitment grant kindly given by The Business Centre, Swansea.
